Did you know that it is a simple, one page joinder that you can fill out to enter the program?
The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania has a program called Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) that does just that, allows you to redirect your state income tax liability to the school to be used as tuition assistance for families that qualify.
Greensburg Central Catholic has been fortunate that over forty-five donors have contributed over $450,000 annually through the EITC program. Over forty-five donors have seen the benefit of redirecting their state income tax liability to GCC. These donations translate into over 130 students who receive partial tuition assistance to attend GCC.
What’s the process?
- Individuals must earn a minimum of $115,000 in state taxable income Individually Or together (If married filing jointly)
- Receive credits against Pennsylvania State Taxes for 90% of that amount each year
- School receives 100% of the donor’s contribution to be used as tuition assistance.
