High School Placement Test
The high school placement test is one of three tools used by the guidance office to make 9th grade course recommendations. In addition to this test, student success in 8th grade courses, as well as teacher feedback are the other two tools implemented in course suggestions. The final goal is to place students in freshman courses that allow for growth within a challenging, yet supportive environment. This test is required for all incoming 9th grade students. Students currently enrolled in 8th grade at GCC will take this exam during a normally scheduled school day.

Junior High Math Placement Test
All incoming 7th and 8th grade students must take a math placement test before classes begin. Test results are used to make appropriate math placements for your child.
