 A Tradition of Excellence

 Mission Statement

The mission of Greensburg Central Catholic Junior Senior High School is to promote the formation of students within a community of faith.

We are a diocesan co-educational school providing a rigorous and comprehensive curriculum centered on the teachings of the Catholic Church, incorporating the Gospel values of Jesus Christ, and designed to meet a variety of academic, spiritual, and social needs.

As a college preparatory Catholic school, inclusive of grades 7-12, we educate students of diverse faiths and backgrounds.  Our students will learn to integrate critical reasoning, scholastic achievement, and the search for truth within the convictions of Catholic teaching rooted in faith, moral responsibility, and service to the global community

 Vision Statement

Our students will be educated and impassioned to lead extraordinary lives in the Catholic tradition.

 Values Statement

And when the centurion, who stood there in front of Jesus, saw how he died, he said, "Surely this man was the Son of God!" Mark 15:39

Centered on the charism of the centurion, who professed the truth of Jesus Christ at the foot of the cross, Greensburg Central Catholic Junior-Senior High School strives to form Christian disciples and to create an educational community where the pursuit of truth is critical for learning and moral development.

As a community of faith, our school is committed to helping students live the harmony between our Gospel values and our daily conduct as committed Christian disciples seeking salvation.

Faith: We live the Gospel values, as faithful Catholic stewards who act with courage and inspire with leadership.

Dignity: We celebrate the dignity of every human person through our empathy and respect.

Integrity: We foster integrity evident through accountability, discipline, and honesty.

Justice: We advocate justice tempered by compassion and righteousness.

 Principal's Message

Dear School Community,

It is my honor and privilege to serve as the next principal of Greensburg Central Catholic Junior Senior High School and to build upon the tradition and legacy that reaches back to the school's 1959 origin.  As a Catholic School we strive to form our students as individuals to be people of faith, offering service to those in need in school, in the parish community and in the local community. Christine Mahady, Junior High Principal and High School Assistant Principal and I will continue to collaborate with GCC's faculty to ensure a smooth transition following Mr. Don Teti's two years of leadership. By embracing the call of the Gospel, the school fosters a Christian awareness of the changing needs and challenges of the world and responds with compassion and integrity.  Through solidarity with others we hope to welcome all people by respecting each other's differences.

The strategic planning process has continued throughout the summer as administration, faculty and staff, advisory council members, and various members of the school community work in committees to transform the focus group data into clearly defined, achievable, and measurable goals and objectives.  We hope to complete the plan by the fall of 2016 and begin implementation throughout the 2016-2017 school year.

We are pleased to expand our 1:1 technology initiative as we provide Dell Latitude 3160 touchscreen laptops to students in grades 10-12 and Acer tablets to students in grades 7-9.  Our faculty will continue to participate in professional development specific to classroom integration of technology as we transition to a school-wide implementation of Microsoft Classroom as the school's learning management system.

Thank you for your interest in Greensburg Central Catholic Junior-Senior High School.  Please feel free to call or email to arrange a visit.
