Faith Formation
A line spoken by Bishop Lamb, the founding Bishop of our high school November 29, 1959 during the dedication of Greensburg Central Catholic High School speaks to our general mission -- "It is the formation of character, according to the doctrine and precepts of Christ that Catholics regard as the supreme goal of education."

Belief and Practice
We believe that all knowledge originates with and flows from God. Therefore, our educational environment is gospel-centered and value-based, and reflects the teachings of the Catholic Church. We respect the individuality of each student, and acknowledge the unique challenges of adolescence. Our holistic education process provides opportunities for academic, spiritual, physical, interpersonal, and emotional development. We have charted a course that integrates personal development and accountability to self and community. Our mission is to empower our students with the education necessary to live as responsible Christians in a complex World.
Educational Philosophy
1. To provide a strong academic background for post-secondary education and the continued pursuit of knowledge.
2. To develop critical and analytical skills for independent thinking and cooperative learning.
3. To encourage the creative potential and individual learning style of each student.
4. To present the teachings of the Catholic Church in areas of Sacred Scripture, religious doctrine, ethics and morality.
5. To nurture faith in God, hope in the risen Christ, and love of God and neighbor.
6. To promote self esteem, interpersonal skills, and emotional and physical well-being.
7. To create opportunities for faculty, staff, and parent development that supports the school's mission.
