How to Apply
To apply for admission to Greensburg Central Catholic High School, call 724-834-0310 or e-mail admissions@gcchs.org to begin the process:
· Prospective eighth graders should plan to take the Placement Test, which is given at the high school.
o Test results and admissions packets are distributed at an Orientation Meeting held in March.
o Applications along with a $50 deposit are due to the high school admissions office in April.
· Transfer students interested in applying for admissions for their sophomore or junior year should call or e-mail the admissions office to arrange an interview with the administration and the guidance department.
o Families should hand carry or have an unofficial transcript sent to the high school for their
admissions interview.
o The administration requires at least 48 hours to obtain necessary information (official academic and other school related records) before making any admissions decision.
o Students may choose to “shadow” a current student during their visit to the high school.
o Greensburg Central Catholic only accepts senior transfers in an extenuating circumstance.
Statement of Nondiscriminatory Acceptance Policy
Greensburg Central Catholic will not discriminate on the basis of race, gender, or national origin. Students seeking acceptance or enrollment will be considered based on religion, academics, character, morality and conduct consistent with Catholic doctrine, and applicable payment history within a Catholic or private/ nonpublic school. The school maintains the rights to give preferential acceptance and enrollment to Catholic students.
As Greensburg Central Catholic High School is a private, nonpublic institution, the administration reserves the right to terminate the enrollment of students for any reason and at any time. Any disciplinary policies and procedures are simply guidelines that the school generally follows. These guidelines do not impede this right by administration to terminate enrollment of a student for any reason at any time.
